Can i get phone+net cheaper than £42pm?

Currently on F2S for net at £23.99 and pay BT £18pm for bt together.
I'm looking to see if i can get it cheaper. Talktalk will cost £31.50pm saving me £120 a year but i'm not sure on their phone deal as to what our usages is like. Here is the latest summery from BT for us over the last 3 months.
::::BT Together::::
Cost of calls: £22 (Local=£5, National=£1.40, Mobile=£11.75,Premium=£0.42)
package benefits: -£0.61
Service charges: £37
VAT: £10
I am aware of talktalks rep but money is what now dictates my choices.
I cannot get the free broadband as some offer so its £10 from talktalk and £17 from sky.
I'm in 3 state of minds.
1) go to talktalk for phone and broadband.
2) change to another BT package if it will work out cheaper for evening and weekend and look elsewhere for cheap brandband (20GB is my monthly usage)
3) get the free sky phone offer for evening and weekend and look elsewhere for cheap brandband (20GB is my monthly usage)
Any ideas what is best for us?

£37 excl. VAT per quarter for line rental is, I think, BT Together Option 2 (inclusive of evening and weekend UK 01/02 calls of up to an hour).
BT Together Option 1 and Primus Saver Option 2 (the call limit is 90 minutes with the latter) would save £11.85 incl. VAT per quarter.
Using 18185 for your calls to mobiles (5p connection + 6p/minute weekdays, 2p/minute weekends) would probably reduce that £11.75 + VAT cost.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Thanks Heinz, wasn't ware of those services

So i use 185185 for mobiles numbers only (presumingi just add the 18185 to my phones memory on each mobile number after i register with them).
Then switch to either together 1 or primus saver 2 for the rest of my calls.
Then find a single broadband provider for less than what i am already paying?
Have i got that right?0 -
Yes, basically. BT Together Option 1 with Primus Saver Option 2 CPS is my recommendation (and has been for some time now). Click on the 'HERE' link in my signature below for the fuller picture.
With regard to broadband, although, because I live in a small village where LLU is unlikely in my lifetime, I opt for BT Total Option 1, your options remain open. With you download requirement, I'd recommend shopping around!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. The Calls are Free to 01/02 geographical landline numbers and you can speak as long as you like,but their is a connection charge of 5p for each call you make.
You would be better of using sister company https://www.18185.co.uk as they only charge 5p connection as well,but offer cheaper calls to mobiles etc.0 -
i was looking at using both prefixing the 18185 to all my mobile contacts in the memory and 1899 to the landline numbers in the home phones memory if 1899 is cheaper for landline calls?0

As your see from my previous post both 1899 and 18185 charge the same (5p connection only) to call 01/02 geo numbers.
