Ezystone Worktops

Hello all!
I am new to this, but have been browsing this forum for a while. You all are so helpful and I have managed to get alot of fantastic tips from this site.
At the moment I am having some major works done in my house. This involves a kitchen/dining extension and a double storey extension. We will be redecorating the entire house - this involves kitchen units, 3 bathrooms etc, so any money saving tips would be much appreciated!
Anyways the purpose for this thread is Ezystone worktops. I don't think I have enough funds to purchase granite worktops, however I was at Homebase over the weekend and discovered Ezystone. It looks good but I wonder if anyone has any experience of this, are they any good? Also can anyone recommend anywhere I can get it cheaper? I am planning to buy my kitchen from diy-kitchen.com as there seem to be quite a few good reviews on this site.
Thank you all for your help!!

Not sure how much Ezystone is but if you are thinking granite is expensive it isnt normally to much more than solid surfaces like Ezystone. Find a independent granite filler and see what prices he comes up with. I imagine you may be pleasantly surprised0

Hi,
I was thinking the same - regarding getting a ezystone worktop.
I have received a Ezystone (black) sample today direct from a supplier.....it looks amazing but it does scratch if you 'test' it with a sharp object. A bit gutted about that! - I was looking forward to saving some money by not opting for granite.
I agree with Steve - go direct to a supplier rather than a 'kitchen company' and you will probably save loads.0
