My 1st Post!
I was looking for a good quality frying pan and after browsing the tempting Le Creuset cast iron beauties, I decided I needed it to be non-stick. After some research I plumped for the Meyer Circulon Skillet. Oddly after checking Amazon (£72) and Debenhams (£68) I found that even with discounts the cheapest place for the 30cm was John Lewis (£48).
Sorry as I am a new blogger i cannot submit links but just search frying pans and select Circulon.

Debenhams had a lot of good stuff in their sale, including well-reviewed Raymond Blanc saucepan sets. See http://www.debenhams.com/home-furniture/cookware/pots-pans/saucepan-sets

I have used these pans and skillets for over 15yrs. I would not use any others. I have been looking for a set for my son recently. I have found TK MAXX to very well priced for the pan sets 5 piece £89.99 and pans from £16. they may not always have full range but the prices make waiting or popping in each week worthwhile.

Searched the internet and the prices I found on Saturday I can not beat the prices I found in Tk Maxx

Hi frank, you might find the Old Style MoneySaving board helpful if you need any further help.
Good luck!0 -
Does the non stick coating wear down over time on the circulon? I ask because I need to replace my frypans about once a year and normally get something like Tefal which are not the cheapest but not usually too dear.
I would like one that lasted much longer if possible and had a heavy base.0 -
what's the best frying pan (heavy) to use on a ceramic / halogen hob?0

I've got the Meyer Anolon Professional pans and they are brilliant, very well made, very sturdy and easy to clean plus they are guaranteed non stick for life. Not cheap, slightly higher prices to the Circulon ones, but worth the cost.
The chef's pan http://www.amazon.co.uk/Raymond-Blanc-Anolon-Professional-Non-stick/dp/B002LVUH4A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352795601&sr=8-2 is brilliant as it's basically a high sided frying pan so can double as a wok. It's the one pan I use the most.
Debenhams are always selling the 4 and 5 pan sets in their "sales" - supposedly reduced from £200 to £100 and occasionally £75. Normally you can find the sets on Amazon for around the £90 mark.
A couple of years ago, Sainsburys did a cheaper "look alike" range of similar hard anodised pans and I picked up a large frying pan and a chefs pan in their sale for about £7 each and to be fair, they are nearly as good.0
