Applied for one of these last week just prior to closure of issue. Does anyone know how long they are taking to process the application? tried ringing them and gave up after twice being on hold for over 35 mins each times. Know there was an incredible back log from previous thread just wondered how it was progressing now. Thanks

I called M&S last Monday - took an hour waiting - and was told that applications reaching them before close of business on Wednesday 07/11 would be OK.
She said that all mail was date stamped on receipt and to expect a delay due to the backlog.
Applications posted Tuesday morning (Special Delivery Next Day) and delivered around 07:00 on Wednesday.
Savings certificates arrived on Saturday.0
