Move apps to SD card on Acer A500?

I have an Acer Iconia A500 and want to catalogue some things on it that will take up a lot of storage and would rather put it on my SD card. Have been through a lot of apps that say they will do this but not found one that works yet, a lot say they are not suitable. I am running ICS - could wait for Jelly Bean if necessary but would rather not.

Does anyone have the same and actually know of an app that works?

Thank you for any help.

Can you not store the info temporarily on the internal memory (either all in one go, or in stages if it needs more storage than is available there) and then just copy it across to the SD card using an App like File Manager?

Are you asking for an app that will tell you which apps you are able to move to SD storage?

If so, you might want to look at Android Assistant. It offers several useful tools, including "App 2 SD," which will list and allow you to move any apps that can be moved.
  • If you are using an app like App2SD ICS does not allow apps to be trsanferred to your card. I had a similar experience on my prime and when I upgraded to ICS I was unable to port over the apps to the card.

I use app2sd on my android tablet. No problems and keeps the internal memory free.

That might explain the strange comments I get from that one, thank you.

I guess I shall just have to wait, might just try continuing with the internal memory and see what happens, just concerned that there will be a lot of graphics involved and it might fill up the memory rather quickly.

Just hope Jelly Bean changes things when we finally get it.

Thank you all for your help.
