Brought item from USA. Fell apart in wash. Refusing refund?

eBay might facilitate this sort of return with a postal credit or prepaid label. They are getting slightly better at dealing with sales in a way that is equitable to the parties involved rather than just blanketly insisting on 'tracked return for refund'. They might also issue a no-fault refund if you enter the issue you have with returning into the dispute."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Is it possible to enter photographs into the ebay dispute process so that the ebay decision makers can see them?
If so, doing this and stating that the bras are totally ruined and there is no possibility of the seller being able to get them repaired may help with the possibility of a no fault refund as suggested by Crowqueen.0 -
Yes - you can certainly upload photos to a claim on the eBay US website. I had to do this to win a case recently.shaun_from_Africa wrote: »Is it possible to enter photographs into the ebay dispute process so that the ebay decision makers can see them?
In addition, I've won a case by faxing through this kind of evidence to win a claim. My point is, unless the washing instructions are visible to eBay, it's the seller's word against the buyer's."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.
...If you can fake that, you've got it made."

I'm going to Washington in a couple of weeks time happy to post them out there for you. PM me.0

I seem to be stuck in some kind of loop with the seller. I say that I washed them how the label said and the loops that the strap goes on disintegrated. That the bras are not fit for purpose and I want a refund. The seller then replies with that he doesn't accept returns once the item has been washed. I reply that I washed them exactly how the label says and they fell apart. He says he doesn't accept returns once the items have been washed.
Is there anyway to get this looked into by Ebay? As at the moment I seem to be stuck in a loop with the seller. There use to be a button to escalate issues once the seller responded to a case but I don't seem to have that option.0 -

Thank you for your offer. At the moment I am still trying to get the seller to accept them back!0 -

You have to wait so many days before you can escalate a claim, which is shown when you start the SNAD process. Presumably that date is some time away.
In the meantime, I suggest uploading a photo of the washing instructions to the SNAD claim."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

If I were the buyer then I would upload a pic of the damage rather than the care label, the reason being that anyone can claim they washed the item at the right settings but the damage would demonstrate there was an actual problem.
Just to be sure of being able to make my case properly. eBay do have a funny habit of siding with the seller if the dispute is contested and the buyer has used the item."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
