Hi, I have been receiving Working and Child Tax Credits since March this year. I left my job in August and have been without work for 3 months. I havent mentioned this to tax credits as I thought I would have found a job within at least 2 months, but I havent. I am going t tell them tomorrow about this I am just worried at the outcome, I know I should have declared this sooner but I would have really struggled with money if I did and have a child to think about...Can anyone give me any advice (: thankyou!!

You have 1 month to declare this type of change in your circs.
Depends on your current situation, if single and your child is under 5 you may be able to claim Income Support and help with housing and council tax if applicableForums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0
