Hiya all, just been swatting up on ebay policies but have a question about unauthorised payment methods. Are these cheques or payment services other then paypal or attempting to collect an item that is not listed as available for collection? Thanks

I'm not quite sure what you mean.
However, in all categories apart from cars a seller *must* offer PayPal. Some categories allow other payment options to be offered, like cheques postal orders etc. cash through the post is specifically disallowed , but you can offer cash on collection but as a seller cannot insist on it.
Some newer sellers can only offer PayPal in some categories and may not offer any other forms of payment.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks Soolin, I just found all the payments ebay accepts - I didn't know there were so many as long as seller also accepts paypal. I was just being nosey really. Sometimes I act like a little child learning new things in wonderment but for no good reason lol. Just attempting to grow the encyclopedia stuck in my head. Since joining MSE I have found out all sorts of things from how to make christmas decorations all the way up to how to file for bankruptcy. The wonderment of it all lol.0
