  • I think the first thing you need to buy is an 'enter' key for your pc!

Seriously though, you should be able to pick one up for around £20 - don't forget that most dvd players can be 'hacked' to become multi-region for free (just google it).

BTW, how will you be £160 worse off a month?

I was working for a LTD company to max my earnings as i had about 4 periods of unemployent for about 6 months each within the last 3 years ( I am a locum, temp). So i lived off credit cards and never got any benefits or help from anywhere. (You can work all your life and pay your tax and then unable to get a penny when your down and out in Beverley Hills LOL).

Was a single parent with a teenage son who I was trying to get throught O & A levels then onto University. In my last period of unemployment I really hit the wire as I fell behind with my credit card payments and got into the most awfully debt ridden situation Mortgage arrears etc. How i kept my home i will never know. Anyway in the new budget I had to change from working for a LTD Co and as a result i will be 160.00 per month worse off. Prior to this my hourly dropped by 7.00per hour which also caued a lot more problems. I am having nightmares about how I will manage due to the level of debt I am still in. I was not managing with the income I had coming in outgoings more than income. I hate my job and feel like I have no quality of life anymore can't afford simple things like the movies, going out for a meal occassionaly etc. I have not had a holiday for over 4 years now.

(thankfully I managed to get my son to university, he is now in his 2nd year. 2 more to go in Scotland . We live in London. He knows how strapped I am so he manages on his Student Loan. I'm so lucky but feel so gulity that financially I can't give him what he should have in fact he refuses to take money from me. He's a great young man and deserves not to have to srtuggle for being so thoughful of his Mum).

I found because i was only paying the basic ammount i was accurring over limit fees, due to the interest. I then tried to pay a bit more to prevent this from happening even if it meant not buying food shopping. so I have been living hand to mouth for about 1 and a half years. Only paying debts with the only luxuary being my monthly 1 & 2 travelcard to work. I don't buy lunch there are times when i resent the fact that i can't even buy a chocolate bar sometimes. How poor is that?. So the prospect of being even more finacially worse off is a nightmare. I have some health realted issues and can't take any time off as sick pay would put me in even more debt which I can't afford. I am in a no win situation.

my mortgage has gone up, as has as my council tax, due to being in debt with my gas bill British Gas I was stuck with their massive increase 3 in the last year I believe. My recent bll this quater came in at 500+ I nearly died so no chance of getting out of BG's clutches.

My only solution is to get a better paying job which I have been looking for since getting this job but nothing around, demoralising.

I work to pay everyone but myself.

    Jazz

Ps if not computer savy how am I going to hack DVD?.
