Art Works - insurance

Hi, I have contents insurance through my landlord (a local council) which is good value and covers £30K max with single item max value of £1000. I have been given 2 pieces of art which to buy would cost £15K min. I have no idea how to get these insured or who with, most mainstream insurers will not insure me at all for contents as in the last 5 years I've had 2 bikes stolen from a garage at a previous address. I have separate bike insurance now but it seems to make no difference to them. Any idea where I begin with covering these art works at a reasonable cost?

Art insurance is available but it is almost exclusively done through brokers. The 15k, is that per item or for the two?
If it is for the two then you are probably better off changing home insurer as you can easily get standard home insurance which could include them without even needing to specify and even if its each there are some that would still accept it.
Most art insurance is ment for higher value items/ collections. A quick look at one via an intermediary with Axa as the underwriter you are looking at 300 for up to 50k cover (their minimum)0
