joist hangers

Hi,

I am trying to board my loft after the insulation has been topped up.

Using the cross batton method with extra joist to allow for extra insulation.

I am using 38mm w x 89mm h joists but cannot find joist hangers suitable that will make the new joist level with the other joist i am hanging it off, they are all to tall which makes my new joist not level with the other!!!

Hope this makes sense:o

  • Just screw the battons to the sides of the roof trusses .

  • Thanks,

That sounds like a crackin and cheaper idea in theory but my drill skills are poor to put it bluntly!!!

I am a girl with a drill, reminds me of that blokes mag ad!!!
