My dad died earlier this year in May and I have just realised that I haven't sent back the R27 the inland revenue sent out. Im so worried now that I am going to cost my mum money. There was so many things at the time and I thought I could manage everything.
Everything 'seems' quite forward but I am going to have to sit down with mum and go through it. He wasnt of pension age but due to injury did have a private one and held a job too, all above board.
Im just worried I'm going to cause my mum bother. She has sorted out all her tax credits / earnings things so they know about what she is getting.
Can anyone put my mind at rest before I go up

You won't get in trouble or penalised for not sending it back until now. If you father had paid to much tax you could end up gaining abit of money for your Mum/his estate by way of a rebate. The downside to that is if he has underpaid his tax, then his estate will need to pay any tax owing. If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me
