HALIFAX Debit card - online foreign payment fees.

Hello,

I've got a Halifax Visa Debit card.
I want to buy some items from abroad and the payment is with my Visa card. I'm sure there are some sort of fees but I've looked on the Halifax site and I can't find a clear answer.

1. Buying in euros from Spain. (30euro)
2. Buying in USD from Hong Kong. (40usd)
3. Buying in GBP from Hong Kong. (£25)

Anyone know how much Halifax will charge me?

Thanks

"If you use your debit card to withdraw cash or pay for goods and services in a currency other than sterling, the exchange rate we use will be the Visa Reference Exchange Rate. We will charge a foreign exchange fee of 2.75% of the amount of the transaction and a £1.50 fee for each payment or withdrawal."

Wasn't directed at you (OP didn't read it correctly), but I did wonder if your reply to a similar question re HSBC this morning had something to do with your post. ;)

    Interesting.
I've never had a credit card before, not sure whether I should get one.
I don't often buy from abroad.

    No.

I just prefer my charging tariffs in table format rather than hidden in sentences!
