last minute audit on mortgage application...

MA has just called me, i am due to complete on newbuild next week!
Mortgage offer came in about 3 months ago from Halifax and is valid for 6 months, so why are they auditing me now?

I am currently down in devon seeing family so cant get hold of two most recent payslips till im home and can get into work to print them..

My MA says the ones leading up to the mortgage offer should be okay, but they might not be.
Should i head home to deal with this? Wasnt due to return for a few more days, but want this sorted.

Do you think the payslips/statements leading up to the mortgage offer will be okay? or will they need the most recent ones?

very stressed as you can imagine so any help welcome!!

Ask your adviser what is needed. They are going to give the accurate answer.

Could you not contact your HR department and ask them to provide the payslips to your adviser?

  • Yes i can give them a call and ask them to print them off and send over to my MA, just concerned as i work for such small company, if the hr lady is off work no one else will have access as they outsourse the payslips/payroll :-/
  • Oh gosh I'd be panicking too! We are going with Halifax too. Exchange on 23td and complete the week after. I hope it all works out ok.

1 in 12 Halifax applications are audited at random to ensure there has been no attempt to defraud using the fast-track system to avoid the evidence of income rules. Often, the solicitor sending the report on title triggers the audit.

Provided the evidence backs up the information provided on the application, there should be no problem.

If completion is next week, you need to sort this quickly.

It's the form the solicitor submits to the lender when he requests the money. It's done just before completion.
