Best free firewall?

I'm using Avast antivirus but the firewall doesn't seem free. So whats on offer? any help with preferences please
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

Comodo is the only decent one I've come across. But it failed leak testing unless I disabled the Defense+ feature and put it into "custom" mode immediately after installation.0

Windows firewall is perfectly adequate, if you access the internet through a router then that will have it's own firewall which is even better.0

Avast in conjunction with windows fw, also the router/supplied by virgin is connected to the PC.0

As others have said Windows own firewall is excellent.
Usually on by default and if unsure just go to Control Panel or install MSE which will usually ask if you want it turned on http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/pc-security/mse.aspx
If you use MSE you should'nt use another antivirus.0 -

not really much differnce in firewalls as its simply traffic routing. you want an ids0
