Delete Emails Windows Live Mail

I have loads of emails in my deleted items folder.
I want to delete maybe 200 items but can't remember how to delete them in 'batches' rather than one at a time.
First one to provide the answer wins a prize !!

Select All option then delete? I don't know, just guessing!

Open the deleted items folder.

Click on "edit" on the top toolbar then "empty deleted items folder" from the drop down menu.

That works for me, hope it does for you

Sorry Sharon87 you are not a prize winner !!
That will delete ALL the emails I only want to delete about 200 of
20 000.

I dont want to delete them all only some of them........

Set it to page display the approx no you want to delete, then 'select all', delete. Even if you use the default display, you'd only have to do this about 4-6 times to delete 200 anyway.

1) Click on the first e-mail in your group of 200.

2) Scroll down to the 200th e-mail (first e-mail is still selected - highlighted in blue).

3) Press the SHIFT keyboard key down and whilst held down click on the 200th e-mail - Now all 200 e-mails will be selected (highlighted in blue).

4) Press the DELETE keyboard key or simply click on the DELETE (big red X) button to delete the 200 selected e-mails.

if the 200ish you want to delete are all together then select the top one and use the 'select click' to get 200 then hit delete.
