Aqua card reclaiming PPI. Worth it?

Hi all

Sorry to be a newbie on this subject, but I have just paid off my Aqua card after having it for 5-6 years. While clearing out all their correspondence today, I noticed that they had me paying £4 pcm PPI. I cant remember agreeing to any cover etc, and didnt even know it was part of my monthly payment (my fault obv). To be fair, the statement of account does say I could cancel the PPI at any time. Could I ask if its worth trying to get this £200- 250 back with a PPI claim or should I just be glad they are out of my life? thanks in advance

The PPI would or should have been a separete payment on each statement that you recieved. So how come you didnt notice it in all those years.

Did you take the card out online.

Yu would have had to actually sign to agree it after reading the documents.

  • yes - it is on the statements, but I suppose I had bigger priorities (and worries) then. Like I say, I admit that it was my fault for not noticing and cancelling it. I think I may have applied on line all that time ago, but cant remember tbh. From your tone, I assume that you're advising that I should forget it?

If you applied on line, then its likely that you ticked the box to say yes you wanted it. So 'non advised' so I think you would struggle with a miss sale, because no one actually sold it to you.

I may be wrong so I would wait till you get more replies. Sorry I couldnt be more positive.
    Regards.
