Hi
Does anyone have any experience of using one of these products?
I want a new satnav and also, I really could do with bluetooth so that I can answer some of my phone calls whilst driving. Sometimes it's too tempting to answer a call whilst driving and I want to get out of this terrible habit.
I'm looking at Garmin so greatfull for any advice.
Many thanks

My tomtom go 720 works fine all you do is tap the screen and talk away0

Any opinions on Garmin - specifically the bluetooth side of it?
I'm guessing you would just pair the satnav to the mobile and then talk through the satnav?
Many thanks0 -

An annoying thing - my car does have bluetooth - but I bought the car second hand when it was a year old and I don't know how to work it. I even took it back to Toyota as I believe it is there factory fitted bluetooth but they couldn't help me!!!0 -
Almost all new satnavs will allow you to pair your phone, they just copy the phonebook over via Bluetooth once the phone is in range. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Mine is a Mio Spirit I have it paired with my phone and hearing aids.
Having it paired with the phone and hearing aid means the sound is much clearer plus the wife can listen to the car radio without having to listen to the satnav constant chatter.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0 -
I've a Garmin nuvi 1490T and the bluetooth works well in my VW Golf or any other car as I can take it with me. The factory fitted bluetooth in my Toyota Aygo (a nokia system) works better though as it routes through the sound system.0
