eBay Toolbar - Good idea or not??

Does anyone use the ebay Toolbar? Is it any good or is it just more desktop clutter?

I quite like the idea of the 'Timely Alerts' re bid alerts, watch alerts, outbid alerts, 2nd chance offer alerts.

I used it a while back and found that the bid alerts etc did not ever work. I uninstalled it in the end as I found it no help whatsoever.

This was a while back though so they may have changed it since.

I've had it installed for ages and think its superb..I use it all the time..Highly recommended

I'm sure I once ran a spyware program (when i had the ebay toolbar installed) and it showed up as spyware! So I uninstalled it..just my opinion..some ppl love it others don't...I'm one of the "others" hehehe

I was going to have a look at this and check out if it was spyware a while back.

But when I saw all the terrible reviews about it I never botherd even looking

Download.com reviews - There was many more bad reviews but they erase them when a new version comes out.

i downloaded it and my pc just went so slow think it didnt get on with another programme, got rid very soon after!

I used to use it, then they did an "upgrade" and I haven't been able to use it since! That was a good while ago, I have tried to uninstall and reload, but it won't come up on the toolbar bit to use it. Shame as I found it quite handy.
