SD card - PC not reading it

I've bought a USB SD card reader to transfer pictures onto my PC.

I've connected the USB to the PC and slotted in the SD card. The PC reads/detects a new USB device, however it does not show any files whatsoever.

Am I doing something wrong?

Try the reader in another USB port and in another PC.

If it still fails to work in all these scenarios, I'd suggest it's faulty and should be returned to where you purchased it from.

This assumes, of course, that you're sure the SD card is in good order - can you view pictures on the card on your camera (I assume that's where they came from...)

Check if your card is SDHC - over 4GB will certainly be and if the SD card reader supports that - if it was cheap it may not.

For one pound, of course, and it does the job fine
