You don't mention where you are coming from but looking at your previous posts I see you mention Sheffield, so you could look at Megabus as fares from Sheffield to London for tommorrow start at £8 per person for a single journey.
http://uk.megabus.com/ With parking and congestion charges it is not a good idea to drive into central London.

Travelodge has some hotels priced at the £60-£80 mark for tomorrow night. Waterloo is quite a good location as near the Embankment for The Eye, House Of Parliament etc. It has good bus and transport links and is a newish TL and £68 for tomorrow night. You could park up at the large Stanmore tube car park as not far from M1 and get the tube direct to waterloo from there. £4.50 a day parking Mon-Fri.

If you want to stay somewhere outside of London that you could park at you could look at the Holiday Inn Express at Watford junction as it is £58.47 with breakfast included for tomorrow night and is beside the train station with the fast train into London Euston taking 15-20 minutes. Not far from the M1 and parking is £3.

Whereabouts is the apartment that you are looking at? Although it is easy to get round London on public transport it can be time consuming to get from one area to another.

It would help if you said exactly where you wanted to go to: London is quite a large place. Postal area? The tube does not serve all areas (very little SOTR) and it could take you up to 2 hours point to point.
If it's central London you will face very high parking charges, plus congestion zone charges, not to mention heavy traffic.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Try using singles rather than returns. Megabus for the outward journey, and National Rail Advance tickets for the return.

Look at the funfares on the National Express coach site. Tuesday shows 08.30pm depart Victoria & arrival 00.15am Sheffield for £8.50.:j

also look at the travelodge site - Monday nite should be a lot less than £60

Not when it's within 7 days, as there will be no saver rates available, only the more expensive flexible rates - the cheapest of these showing at the time of writing is aldgate east at £59.95
  • travelodeg at harlow is £39 for tomorrow and is right next to the train station that takes only 30 minutes into Liverpool street. Hope that helps
