Omg, on first reading I thought OP had managed to buy it for £100. I was so excited (even though I have just bought a kenwood mixer this week, a kitchen aid for £100 would be impossible to resist!).0

I got a KitchenAid mixer for £149.99 in Amazon's Black Friday deals 2 years ago - it might be worth keeping an eye out there this year in case they do it again.0 -

Myriad thanks OP..... but now I need to be nice to DH

Off topic, but I am looking for ideas to put my mixer to good use. I have been searching on the old-style board, but if anyone has any ideas for idiot-proof recipes using my new mixer, I would be grateful. TIA x0

Got ours here as well. Granted it is the smaller of the two stand mixers they do, so not the one you're looking at in Debenhams. Still, I'm 6' and not a total weakling, the small one is heavy enough!

I find mine makes fab cakes (make double and freeze one) and biscuits, even do the pastry in it - think the trick is to find space on the worktop so you can keep it out....
Maybe I've been lucky but any recipe I've chosen has been successful.0 -

Me too and I love it! I'm so excited as we're moving next week and there is enough worktop space to keep the mixer out all the time, not only will that mean I wont have to struggle getting it out, it will look gorgeous on display!0 -
Just close you're eyes and get on with it, it'll be worth it when you end up with amazing cakesnow I need to be nice to DH
