My PC keeps just going off like theirs a power cut. Its happening more and more, and the only way to get it back on is to pull the main wire out the back and plug it back in and switch the plug socket off then on
Its a packard bell  And i spent £199 on a 5 years warrenty thingy on it, but as we no longer have a car cant get to pc world were I got it! ( its 20 miles away)
Yes I know pc world is poo and I have been ripped off !! I have had the pc for 15 months!!!
What shall I do.

Sounds like the power supply is going. So you'll have to replace the power supply unit. If it's under warranty you may as well find a way to take it in because it sounds like it's a hardware problem."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Look closely at the warranty it may actually allow for on-site repair or collect and return even if you have to return to the shop where purchased you have no option than to get it fixed.
Agree with previous poster sounds like a power supply problem but may be other things as well.0 -

It could be if it is overheating:question: dust build up on the cpu fan or dust blocking the air inlets to the power supply. Make a point of being present when he opens it up and see what he does. I make a point of approx every 12 months opening up my base unit and cleaning it out with a vacuum cleaner with a modified head to reach all the dust build up (wish i could do the same on my laptop but its a big strip down job).
You would if you have never seen it be amazed at the amount of dust, fluff that can be present.0
