MyWebSearch Hijack

My DD has currently got MyWebSearch hijacking her computer. Everytime she does a search on firefox from her homepage google.com MyWebSearch hijacks the search and as anyone knows who has ever dealt with it - the results displayed are awful. I have tried to get rid of it, nothing is showing in the control panel under uninstall. I tried regedit, about:config and reset anything myweb or mywebsearch and I have also tried hijack this but the little beggar refuses to go away! Has anyone got any ideas how to delete this stupid bit of malware please? Thank you in advance :beer:

The quickscan is complete and it found nothing at all

can you start in safe mode and then do a system restore to a known date when it was not there ?

MyWebSearch is a minor irritant so don't be overly worried.

If you continue to have problems:

Download OTL by Old Timer from the link below and save it to your Desktop.

LINK

• Double click on OTL.exe to run it.
• Click the Quick Scan button.
• When it's finished , two Notepad files will open.
  • OTL.txt <-- Will be opened
  • Extras.txt <-- Will be minimized
• Post the contents of OTL.txt in your next reply.

You may have to split the contents of the notepad file over multiple posts

Found mywebsearc as directed to in your first post re search bar, deleted it. Little beggar still hijacking so going to try OTL now, thanks very much. Never had so much trouble removing something!
