  • Can't give a discount but have you looked on travelzoo?
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice
  • Phew, I booked a cruise a couple of months ago. They do some price thing though so if the price of the holiday gets less they credit you so that you can spen it whilst on the ship.

Cruise Kings often have good offers on P&O cruises. Sign up for their newsletter and prepare to be bombarded.

P&O work like airlines and have fluid pricing i.e. the cost of a cruise changes as bookings are confirmed. Offers over and above the P&O prices are now few and far between as P & O reduced agents commission from 15% to just 5% a couple of years ago.

You therefore need to track prices and book when it is at a price you are happy paying. As you get closer there are bargains to be had, but you have to make do with what is available and you may not know your cabin number when you book.

They do now have a price promise for early bookers and if the price drops you get the difference in on board credit.
  • good to know about on board credit thanks

Getting a rebate or OBC after your have paid your deposit is rare and almost impossible especially for us in the UK. For American customers, and others who are able to book through their Travel Agents, the T&C are very different.
Their deposits are fully refundable right up to final payment stage so if the price drops (provided you know about the new price) you get the new price. If prices falls after final payment, refunds are very very unlikely (plenty of comments on Cruise Critics about this).

I would recommend once you decide on the cruise, get prices from US, EU and UK travel agents and then make your decision knowing all their T&C.
An example being 10% deposit and final payment 30 days before departure is the German T&C, ours are very different.

Best advise is get all the facts and make you own decision on what is important to you.
