I have got an appiontment to apply for an overdraft with my bank, halifax, on friday. Im am a full time student at university, i have a job which i get around £500 a month, but as i work extra shifts i generally comme out with some more money. I also get my student loan which will come through in january and then in april. how likely am i to recieve an overdraft and how much do you think i would be able to get?

They'll ask why you need an overdraft if you have a job and your student loan. Whether you'll get one depends on what your income and outgoings are.0

Is it a student account that you apply for an overdraft for?0

In that case why go to a branch to apply unless they will stitch him up with other services he probably does not need or want?
An overdraft can be done online or by phone - no need to go in.0 -

If it is a student account the overdraft has to be changed in branch. Cant be done over the phone. Not sure about online.''Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounded by a$$holes.'' :whistle:0 -

Because Halifax like to make things awkward.
Really though, I have no idea. Been that way since it moved onto Lloyds platform. Must be the way Lloyds used to/still do things.''Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounded by a$$holes.'' :whistle:0
