Because I have no one here and it makes my depression a whole tonne worse. I need to be around my family, they keep me going.
Have you had a formal diagnosis of depression? If so you may find an option is to discuss with your employer around a potential protected disability - a transfer to a more suitable place of work may be a reasonable adjustment.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -
Yes and I am being treated for it. Tablets help so it's not serious but atm it's getting to a point where it's extremely bad and it also gives me high anxiety. I don't see what you're saying though.0

If your employer is aware of your diagnosis, they may have a duty placed upon them in law to look after your mental health and well-being in the working environment - they may also have to consider reasonable adjustments thet will allow you to remain in work.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -

She is saying that it would be a reasonable adjustment to facilitate your move.
Don't for goodness sakes resign.
You need to find out the result of your interview and if you didn't get the role; find out why. If you are already employed and you followed the agreed procedure for a transfer then there is no reason why they would not transfer you.
Do you know whether you followed the procedure or not?
If I were you, if you don't get it - go back to the old job, find out the procedure and follow it to the letter and post on here if that happens.
Do not resign!If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
I'm already doing exactly what I'm supposed to be get a transfer. My HR department isn't doing ~their~ part. I've known numerous people in the last few months get a transfer and they've had no trouble and not had to do anything.
I on the other hand am having to do all the running around. I was having to make calls constantly to people who don't even know who I am or what I want it's so frustrating.0 -
If they are not doing their part [as per the procedure] then put a grievance in.
But don't do that until you have found out the result of the interview.
It sounds to me like your old place think you are going to the new place so why do you think otherwise? If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
You say the new place and HR are not helping you but why should they, its up to you to sort out and go to interview and make an impression etc as for them it depends on their needs in both stores are. Iv been in a similar position where i had to arrange a 6 month secondment to an office abroad and i had to sort out everything from tax issues to accomm/start dates etc .0

It's a massive company with over 300+ people in each store so the HR organise it between themselves as they can directly email them etc. But for some reason they aren't doing what they do for everyone else, for me. I can't send them my records or my file as that's what they have to do.0

Honestly it sounds like the store manager may have felt you were coming across as "well it's just a formaility" and she was hoping for a bit of enthusiasm and commitment ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
