3 bulb light - is it sod's law that only 2 ever work?

Light fixing in front room has 3 x 40w bulbs.

Why is it impossible to have all 3 bulbs active, as soon as one is changed another one blows?

Electrics all checked and tickety boo.

Is there a fault with the actual light? I have 2 such lights in my living room and don't have the same problem.

Nope, been checked out by bona fide sparky, same happened at our previous home too...guess it's in the same rule book that as soon as one "white good" packs up, 2 others will follow pronto.

I have two, diiferent, 3 bulb light fittings in two rooms and don't have this problem - although when a bulb blows in the dining room it is, on occasion, a dramatic event with a flash and a bang.

Try putting 3 new bulbs in.

    Sods law isnt it lol.

We have a 3 bulb light in our sitting room. One of the bulbs blew the other day and Hubby only got round to replacing it yesterday. No sooner had he replaced the bulb and went over and hit the light switch that one of the OTHER bulbs blew.

I thought this only happened in my house lol.
The loopy one has gone :j
