Hi
was just wondering if anyone here knows if i can get help with travel costs to take my LO to playschool? i have tried the benafits board but nobody could so thought i would try here. its costing me £10 on the bus now and that is only for 3 days. my LO really loves it there and i dont want him to miss out but £10 is a lot of money to me. there is not one any closer to me eather.
so if anyone can help it would be great.

you could get a weekly bus pass which works out cheaper or walk some of the way and then get on the busWinnings: John Deere Model Tractor:j

Could you try and find out if any of the other mums live near you and drive to playschool and perhaps could give you a lift and you could give them a couple of quid towards petrol?

If it's a short distance could you cycle? When we had to go down to one car I used to cycle to nursery with my DD on the back... most mornings we got there quicker than the bus!

Can I just ask how far it actually is?
Only I know our local council has a website where you can find walking or cycling routes between two points, and it includes a choice of 'safe' routes. You might find there is a non-road route you're not aware of.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Impossible for me to work out exactly where they are, but if you google 'cycle routes essex' you'll find some useful pages. If you stay there with your LO, it might make walking more feasible for you if it's up to a couple of miles. If you leave him, is there somewhere you could go for shopping / cup of coffee while he's there? Me time, in other words ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
