Car under warranty

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to ask, if anyone was aware..

For a car thats still under warranty - if it develops a fault and need attention from a dealer/garage, (in my case its Volkswagen) Do I still need to make an appointment for the first available slot or do cars under warranty have some different rules, such as I can just bring the car there?
Sorry just really all new to this.

    Yes, you'll need to ring and book the car in. I take it its under manufacturers warranty, ie, under three years old?

    yes its still within the 3 years
