Sock cupcakes (how to stop them moving in cases)

I have made some sock cupcakes for a school fayre. How do I get them to stop moving about in silicone cupcake cases. Do I use a blob of glue from a glue gun, double sided tape or a sticky fixer? Obviously I don't want to mark the socks.

I make sock cupcakes and use clear sticky dots - think they are sello tape ones. They hold the socks in the cases well but then peel off easily and don't damage the socks.0

I don't find I need to fix the socks to the case, or the topping to the socks, the wrapping keeps it all in place.
I tried to add a picture, but it came out huge!0 -

What a lovely idea. Haven't looked in this thread for a while. Looks like I need to and "get up to date"!0

Hi lrlrip, I put a sock cupcake on my last nappy cake and had the same problem. Nothing would stick to the cases so I changed them for the paper cases and used a bit of cellotape. (Think it peels off cleaner than double sided tape)0
