OK fair enough - let me rephrase what I guessed may be a solution ...
The gas readings you submitted may have been in a different measure (possibly cubic meters or cubic feet) to the kWh they quoted back to you as a usage.0 -

All were in kWh - the meter, my readings and the email from SP !!!
Has anyone else tried this on SP's website ?0 -

Yes, but what the forum would like to know - general terms - is the answer to the question posed.I then noticed a new option on their website "receive an emailed consumption reading / click here" which I did and checked my email - to read an email as follows :
"Your gas consumption is 5513 kWh.Your electricity consumption is 1759 kWh."
Is this Per Day, Per Week, Per Month or Per Annum ?
Surely the answer is what the system designer intended. Is the answer known?0 -

We don't have gas, but I thought gas meters don't (in fact can't) measure kWh of gas used, due to its varying calorific value? Could anyone clarify please?0
