Leaky conservatory roof - does insurance cover anything?

Hiya, our conservatory roof has leaked for a while now and we've tried to repair it with sealant a few times but it never lasts and it seems the roof needs replacing. The wooden flooring, wall, and cupboards are also visibly damaged from all the water that's dripped on them.
Should our buildings insurance cover us for any of this? If not the replacement of the roof, then maybe the damage it's done inside?
Would it make a difference that it's been a problem that's been going on for some time (a couple years almost) rather than something that happened overnight? I need to check, but I may have changed insurers during that period, would I still be covered if the problem started (but not as seriously) before the insurance policy started?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Sounds to me like wear and tear. Is it a glass roof? If it's poly carb you could easily take the panels out and replace/reseal it yourself for next to nothing in a day.0

General maintenance issue.
Mate got refused a claim because they said it was down to neglect.
So they may refuse the claim. And it will go down on record so any furure claims in that area maybe questioned.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
