I have been reading and answering these boards for a little while now so I thought I would give some extra back to you guys...I have just done a direct comparison between three Switching Sites...
Hi to anyone who has any bright ideas
I have just done a comparison I do not want to pay DD I have done so in the past and found they just up it no matter what your usage.
I was amazed to find that my cheapest supplier would be British Gas, unheard of before, saving around £47:00 which is not much, at present I'm with npower in the CV10 area.
Are the other suppiers not lowering their prices yet? How long would it be best to wait before changing or should I change now then do another comparison in a few months time. Please help.

Although it is true that the comparrison sites earn a commision from the suppliers, this commision is in no way paid by the customer in any underhand way such as factoring them into the prices.
The Utility companies pay out £millions to these comparison site in commission. Like any other overhead(employee salaries, company buildings etc etc) this expense is reflected in the tariff that we customers are charged.
So of course the money paid out in commission by the utility companies is 'factored' into the prices we pay. How else is it re-couped by the companies?0 -

BG Click Energy is the cheapest for most people at the moment. If you pay by DD you can save up to an additional £120 a year for dual fuel.
Some companies have lowered their prices - others haven't.
BG on their standard gas tariff were always the most expensive in the past because the deregulation rules stipulated that they had to be; and the Regulator enforced that rule. Their Electricity prices were always pretty competitive.
It sems that with the internet only accounts like Click Energy they are now allowed to compete.0 -

very unlikely that is correct Cassie for gas npower are cheaper as long as you use more than 4770 kWh per annum on receipt of bill payment.
on electric anything over 890 kWh per annum would be cheaper with npower this is on receipt of bill with both companies new prices perhaps the sites you have used have not taken into account npower's prices drop on the 30th April0
