I had problems with lovefilm cancelling but was on normal subscription. You have to phone them 5 working days before your payment date. I called and was offered 3 free months from them so i took it. I find blockbuster are amazing, they have a quick turnaround in getting the discs to you and also send out bonus disks with the original title so it only counts as one title.0

lovefilm took about ten days to get back my last disc, which meant surprise surprise i got billed for another month.
several phonecalls, about 5 emails, no response.
avoid like bird flu.0 -
I rang up and cancelled, I sent my dvd back and 3 days later my account got cancelled0

Hi,
Well I need to know if a credit card is registered with Lovefilms and a cancellation is requested but they still take the money out from the card account next month.
Can we ask the credit card company for charge back?

I also had hassle in cancelling, they made me call a number and couldn't do it online, here i was subject to hard sell which infuriated me, they also said they hadn't received the last two titles i returned.
I cleared my rent list and insisted it be cancelled. I called up credit card but they said they couldnt stop payment if it was requested.
Eventially they did cancel my account and sent email confirmation, said they would forward a PO claim form for the lost discs but i never received it and no payment was taken.
I thought the service was good actually, whilst i was a member and would've stayed if i watched enough, but closing the account was very frustrating.0 -

I need some advice - I previously used blockbuster free trial in June 2006. Will I be eligeble for another trial service. Or does anyone have any codes which can be used to for previous customers?

The best way to ensure that the account cancels corrrectly is to remove everything from your queue BEFORE you send your last disks back - Once the disks show as being received, then cancel.
That's what i did plus i sent my last 3 back Special Del, that was the only way to be sure they got them in decent time and had proof of delivery, the discs were back with them the next day according to royal mail site but 5 days later lovefilms site said i still had them so i rung them and gave them tracking number and told them if they took funds from my account i would consider it theft and inform police 3 hours later email from them saying account was cancelled and all discs were back with them, you work it out.
