EON Refund

What would be a fair time to wait for a refund.I have been owed £58.92 since the 10th October.I cannot imagine them waiting a month for me to pay that sum,if i owed it to them.Even though its a small sum, should i be getting any interest and not them.

  • Hi, I posted a similar question yesterday as EON also owes me money.

EON are thieving dogs. They won't speak to you when you you're a customer. Then they called me three times when I was swapping my gas and electric to Utility Warehouse and now they owe me a refund they won't take my calls and ignore my emails that I submit via their Contact Us page in my old account.

Don't expect your cash any time soon. But do post directly on their Twitter account so other customers know how they can expect to be treated.

Have you switched? Do you know how long the switching process takes?are you aware they wont give you the money until the process is complete?

    Hi tsmiggy,

As JC_Derby says, are you changing supplier? Or have you moved house?.

If you have changed supplier then this process takes about 4-6 weeks to complete. Once your new supplier has provided us with your meter readings we will produce a final bill.

Once you have had the bill, then you will receive your refund.

If you still have your Direct Debit open, we will refund this way, otherwise we will send you a cheque.

If you have moved house and simply closed the account, then once you have given your final readings and the bill is produced we can refund the credit, this would take about 5-10 days.

If you need me to look in to your account, just let me know.

    Thanks

    Helena :)

    Hi
I am not changing supplier, the supply was in a Empty house that i had for sale, and as now sold.I gave all the final readings on the day of sale.LIke i had pointed out,i also did a similar thing with British Gas,and they refunded in under a week.I had a letter from EON dated 12th. October stating i was owed a refund, this is now more than 5-10 days ago.Could please look into this on my behalf.I assume you will need details.

    Regards

Thanks for coming back to me,

I will be more than happy to have a look to see what's going on.

Did you have a Direct Debit set up? If not did you give us a forwarding address to send the cheque to?

It was not on a direct debit.I was acting as the Executor, and all the paperwork was sent directly to me,including the final electricity bill.Like i previously pointed out,i did receive the final bill sent to my address showing a £58.92 refund dated 12th. October..I dont mind given the account details to you on here,if that helps.
