Car Insurance Help Please....?

Hi,
I'm new to this forum but need help with a certain large Superstore that I am insured with. (not sure if I'm allowed to say the name?)
Basically we moved to them from another insurer in January and our policy was based on 9 years No Claims. We agreed to pay monthly and paid the initial amount of £92.50 and then started our monthly payments of £50.57 in Feb.

In the mean time, our old insurer had said that we had an outstanding claim so would not provide proof of our no claims bonus until it was closed. Our new insurer bumped up the monthly payments and said that we'd get the full amount once we had proof of our no claims. Fair enough.

We finally got proof of our no claims and forwarded it to our new insurer. But there is a big discrepancy in the difference that they believe that they owe us and all they seem to do is discuss it with Credit Control and come back to me to say that what they have calculated is correct!

We have paid £772.02 for our poilcy. However, if we had paid what we were meant to pay (£92.05 for Jan and then 10 x £50.57) the amount would be £597.75.

They are only offering us a refund of £112.42, where as I have calculated it to be £174.27.

Has anybody else had any experience of this or can anybody give me some advice?

Many thanks in anticipation,

Tricky1982

    174.27-112.42=61.85

are you sure the 61.85 isn't the interest because of the pay monthly plan?
