I'm going to Liverpool with the kids later this month.
We intend to go on the ferry and go to Spaceport which has a Doctor Who exhibition until the end of the year.0 -
The area is residential rather than a tourist beach so you won't find anything directly on the seafront, there are a few guesthouses in the area. Blundellsands Guesthouse http://www.blundellsands.info/ is a few minutes walk away.
There aren't really many hotels in that area as it is a fair distance from the City to attract tourists and there isn't really anything else of interest there but is well served by trains and buses.0 -
would be better off staying in Southport...remember that hotels get booked up at the weekend for the football in season and it seems that prices are steeper this year probably due to the capital of culture0

why don't you try the Fabfourbeatletour, its a tour of the beatles history in a black hack cab, one of the owners is a friend (Terry). he/ they know every little fact & figure concerning the fab four and will give you that personal touch
I have just tried to enter the name in google and I only get customer reviews coming up, which are quite good
hope this helps
by the way I would also recommend the Holiday Inn Express there are a few of them scattered about Liverpool, but like others have said you are battling against the football crowds every weekend
sorry just found the correct link ,looks like i didn't look very far

If youv'e the time, Chester is less than an hour from Liverpool and is a great day for shopping and viewing the sites. It is a walled town, and has a Roman amphitheatre. You can easily spend a day there though. There's a list of some of the attractions on the 'What's On' page of www.discoverchester.co.uk0

Ah Penny Lane... the memories!!!
I used to live at the junction of Penny Lane (just near the bus stop in the song) and used to get coachloads of tourists peering in my front window as the bus went past!! Lol.
While we're on the subject of Liverpool, quick question. Im coming there at the end of the month and will be staying at the Malmaison, will be coming in at Norton Street on the coach quite late - 7.30 pm - and just wondered is there anywhere (fairly cheap please, just cos Im staying in the Malmaison doesnt mean Im rich!!!) either round the coach station or the hotel I could get some food - or alternatively is the Tesco that used to be near St John's still there??? thanks people!! xx*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
