RFTA says: Sort out / service sewing machine (never got this done yesterday) - again thanks to Ally for the links Done as best as I can .... have had the end plate off and been inside and it was def jamming but couldn't see any obvious reason for it. Have oiled all the moving parts I could reach and put back together - seems to be moving better but still not totally smoothly. Just had a thought: wondering if a good spray of WD40 on the whole inside section (where the metal moving parts are) may help - anyone tried this?
WD40 website says the product is suitable for lubricating machine needles http://www.wd40.com/uses-tips/category/hobby-and-crafts/
Sewing machine forums seem to say that sewing machine oil is more suitable and that whatever you use you should use it sparingly.
Stitchy, any ideas?

mmmmm interesting and would be more inclined to go with the sewing machine forum advice (never even occurred to me to look for one
) - it was SM oil that I used.
I've some odd bits of old material and will give it a run on them - hopefully as it moves, the oil will lubricate in and it'll run better. I may well give it another oil / run again tomorrow:)
Pleased with the throw for the table, it'll look so much better than the actual table itself as it's old and has def seen better days - but at £20 it's solved the problem and will certainly do me for a few years.

If you're not that proud of the table (sounds like a bargain) you could put a attach sticky-backed velcro dots to the table and the underside of the tablecloth. Or use table cloth clips:
Dots
Clips
Think I've bought both in the past in £Land.
If you do go with the velcro dots idea don't put the tablecloth in the washing machine with delicate fabrics in case the spikes damage the delicates.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

Evening all,
Thanks for starting us off Ally, love what you wrote here, I need to remember that sometimes too...~Remembering this: No-one is rich enough to buy back their past. If you keep looking back at your past you are missing out on your now. You are making yourself suffer. Forgetting past mistakes will help you deal with today's challenges. Whatever you're going through, you can cope. Make a plan of action and stick to it.
Today's list is more what I have done as it's so late!
Today I have/will:-- Food from stores
- Dinner from meal plan

You guys have had it tough financially though so I can understand why this has happened for you. Now Mr La E is working and things are looking good for you guys I'm sure you'll resolve it quickly (((hugs)))
Cheers chickadee, I know we'll get there one day. Making tracks today...
Here's me
Freecycling the leather armchair the puppy ate - can't afford to get it reupholstered and I quite like the new bit of space we've created in the living room
Free spa day - MIL's treat
Food from stores
Using bus pass and getting there a bit early rather than driving and paying parking
Tidying round when I get back - need to tackle the material mountain
Thinking up packed lunches for work this week
Sticking up a meal plan on the board
Re-jigging my cv - job I'm going to apply for still hasn't been advertised and is burning a hole in my cv-holding pocket!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Yesterday we took the puppy out a long walk through the muddy fields - think wellies covered in manure  - and then back to OH's parents for tea/drinks/tv. Was lovely.
Also sorted myself a free lift to my sister's for Crimbo so now just need to book myself travel back. Think I'm going to go on my own this year - bit sad OH won't be there but will be extra saving on travel and we won't have to put the dog into kennels. So probably save about £100 overall. I'll survive without him for a few days
