Hi guys, i just spent £30 on an item i thought nobody would have, but this website had the item, so i paid for it.
I've paid by credit card which has been taken by Paypal, so am i safe?
Here's the site...
https://www.mobilesupportservices.co.uk
What do you guys think? I really need a second opinion on this, and im dreading the worst..
They have no phone number, only email. But, they are registered as a legit domain in 'Whoisit', registered until 2013..
But...
Help? Please..
Thanks

They don't even have a 'About us' Page set up yet, not very proffesional if you ask me, the site looks so old fashioned designed or something like a free template and still getting updated.
I can't really help you as i do not know but I'm sure transactions through paypal can be refunded under certain circumstances... Wait for somebody with actual knowledge.
Maybe its worth looking around first, can i ask what battery did you purchase?Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0 -
Thanks for your help.
The battery is a Motorola MR 601 battery, its for an old vintage that im trying to revive.
You wont find one very easily, im sure.0 -
Maybe try ebay.0

Definitely dodgy.
The actual landing page from your link is: hxxp://mobilesupportservices.co.uk/
Which is an otherwise blank page filled with spam !!!!!!/sex links before you're redirected to: hxxp://mobilesupportservices.co.uk/shop/catalog1/products_new.php
You can see the links at the bottom of this analysis here:

The site's been registered since 2003 and there's no sign of anyone complaining online, so I'd sit tight for a couple of weeks and hope for the best. My gut feeling is that it's legit, if a bit unprofessional.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
You'd be surprised. I once bough a camera charger from the dodgiest of sites and was convinced that I'd been scammed when they didn't respond to my emails. but sure as eggs, about 2 weeks later it showed up in the post.0

So?
The same applies. Wait the estimated time they advise for the item to arrive, if it is clear it is not coming then they can even start to have an inkling it is a fake site. Ordering then straight afterwards worrying about it is pointless.0 -
In terms of the site, I have seen similar !!!!! for well known (within specific industries) companies. Perhaps they have just launched a new site and decided to launch before all info has been inputted (unprofessional but some companies are like this) or maybe the majority of their business is instore or via other channels so they have forgotten about updating the site as it is not their main revenue channel.
A website to many companies means nothing and they do not, and never will, understand that leaving important info out like this will cause exactly this kind of post on a forum.
Allow the item to arrive before jumping to conclusions...0
