Nexus 7 - £25 Asus credit for early buyers

http://event.asus.com/2012/tablet/nexus_7/

For those of us who bought our Nexus 7 early, we're getting some store credit from Asus, I guess as a way of making up for the recent price drop.

The credit can only be used on the Asus store, so not a massive choice, but could mean a free spare charger or cover!

Not entirely sure who's eligible as the Qualification says it has to be purchased at physical channels or online shops so may only be those who ordered direct from Asus.

I tried to get the offer earlier but their product registration was down.. worth a try though!
Qualification:
1. Nexus 7 purchased by October 29th, 2012.
2. Nexus 7 purchased at our physical channels and its online shops.
3. Complete registration at ASUS member site
4. Submission of proof of purchase.

Rules and regulations:

1. Coupon valid for ASUS Shop online purchases during the period of 『2012/10/30』~『2012/12/31』.
2. New members who complete registration and should apply via email with attachment of purchase proof during the event to qualify for a coupon.
3. Registering with ASUS and participating in the coupon campaign does NOT require you to place an order.
4. However if you get a coupon, it cannot be paid out but only be used as rebate for an order with ASUS Shop.
5. You acknowledge that ASUS Technology Pte. Ltd. , at its sole discretion, reserves its right to modify the usage of this coupon or discontinue it at any time without prior notice.

  • Good spot :)

I got my new 32GB on the 29th so got there just in time
  • Well I got as far as registering my Nexus, I got an email inviting me to apply for the voucher code but when I replied, their email box was full!

Will try again after the weekend
  • I was about to do it, then realised it's actually only for people who purchased directly from Google or Asus and not for shop purchases... which seems a bit limiting.

    Hi

It requires the product's serial # from the box which I have throw away.

Does anyone know where else I could find the relevant serial #?

    Thanks

Serial number is at the bottom of the list.

    Nonono...

I have been through this, here's some tips

The Serial Number they want is only printed on the box - it is the SSN (Not the CSSN)
The £25 applies to the 16GB unit, the 8GB gets you a 10% discount from the overpriced shop
The shop charges £6, so you have £19 to play with - it's basically a cover, or spend a bit more and get a spare charger.
It is a painful process, but persevere and you will get there

Yep, it is the number on the warranty card/box of the form C7XXX00000 that you need. Counterintuitive, eh?
