Water lukewarm in all taps

The hot water in all taps and the shower is no warmer than lukewarm even when the radiators are off.
The water in the radiators is piping hot.
What could be the solution to hot water being hot?
Without going into maximum detail as Im sure some you will ask the relevant questions to get to the bottom of it

I had similar trouble last year, Charlotte.
It was the motorised valve (look for a silver box with toggle at the end)0
