OK, I've updated my sig now. I have pulled across £105.34 from my Rpoints account to cover the sat nav. I am desperately clicking away to try and recoup the extra money I've spent. I also want to try and get some holiday money together and My buildings and contents insurance is due this month. I think I'll get it from direct line because they have £100 cashback so it'll cost me £160-£180 total. It's cheaper if I get separate but I then have to outlay extra money and wait for it to come back to me.
I'm considering the Tesco account for the extra points and am just trying to figure out how many accounts I can open.

Hi Every1,
SF - Hope everythings going well but don't worry if it's not - it's not like it makes you in to a worse person or anything. When u take an exam u've got nothing to lose - u can only gain (whether it's a qualification or just the knowledge you gained preparing for it) - so don't feel as if u've lost out if things don't go to plan.
I spent 4 hours clearing out the crap in the garage at the old house yesterday - on my own with 2 children in tow. I rammed the car full to the brim with a load of stuff to keep n a load of stuff to dump n took it to the tip.
I've got to sort out all the stuff I wanted to keep though (and there's a lot)
My afternoons going to be busy.
Anyway back on topic:
I spent one pound in farmfoods on box of ice lollies and 3.30 in chip shop last night. So a total of 8.41 out of my 10. But because I got an off peak ticket to work instead of a peak one I saved 1.30 on train fares today so I'm transferring that to the unnecesary envelope (giving a total of 2.89) and am going to have 2 halves at pub with my friend later.
CAFC - Is that cheating?
Pippo - I wish u really could virtually look after kids coz had to take them in to work with me today!!!
Hope all is well with every1 and sorry if I'm babbling.

Jet - Is the cheating reference about you using extra savings on something else? No I wouldnt say so.... same with Kaz and her sat nav, if you find/save the money somewhere else, I can let you off
Or was it about my breakfast given I'm supposed to be eating healthy lolWealth is not measured by currency0 -
No it was about me having 2 halves in the pub as oposed to one lol
Hope u haven't been cheating at anything CAFC - but at least then I suppose we'd no ur human lolJUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0 -

Hi Folks,
Think I'm back again!!
Need to catch up a lot though!
Last week was total no spend:j
But today:mad:
DH away at DS's and usually I have no problems being alone but last night I woke up convinced there was somebody knocking on the door at about 3 a.m. I really got the jitters and coulddn't get back to sleep. This morning found a flier from Independant party reminding me to vote - well I would have done but now:mad:
Big managers meeting today first thing & I feel like cr&p! Told come in on budget or we will question your ability to manage:mad:
So - looks like no unnecessary spending at work too!!
Was so mad agreed to go to lunch with my colleagues - stood to pay feeling bad enough handing over £5 - but had to go back in my purse 'cos came to £5.98!
Also today 10 years since my mum died - it doesn't usually get to me but did today so have taken a flier from work, been to the Chapel of Rememberance and am now toasting her long and happy life.
Forgive me for unburdening like this, but I do feel better for it!!
Jet I would love to look after the girls - it is what I did for a living before I became a manager!!0 -
Pippo hun,
I can say nothing but :grouphug:
And would like to invte everyone the thread to raise a glass in memory of Pippo's Mum.
A woman, obviously, greatly loved and missed xx

Thanks Cafcgirl,
She was a wonderful woman - we even got to go to Buck House 'cos she got MBE for her voluntary work - at 81 she did lunch clubs for the 'OLD FOLK'
Never forgave WRVS for letting her continue to drive a car for rmeals on wheels though!:rotfl:
She would never have managed an unnecessary spend challenge either. Her and dad had a joint bank account but she wasn't allowed to write cheques herself - not 'cos he was mean but 'cos she was the original spendaholic!
He paid all her 'card' bills - and I am talking before plastic was invented!
I obviously inherited the spending trend from her, but  she only ever had a very occaisional sweet sherry or a tia maria at Christmas! (So where does my bad vodka drinking habit come from?)0
