    Why do you feel like a total idiot? Do you expect it to be part of your DNA or something?

    There's a first time for everything. The two things you can do wrong are: Overcook it, and undercook it. If you undercook it, it bleeds - so slam it back in the oven. If you overcook it, it goes dry, so smear it with butter or something.

    If you *badly* overcook it - cut the black bits off.

    There you go - easy. And you're still speaking to the bf, so you could always just feed it to him... :rotfl:
