Right planning a day of ebay for my next day off for some extra funds.

Gonna spend the next two evenings sorting out what I can sell on there. Just quite happy to get some money in the kitty...

Have also managed to save my hair from disaster! So quite happy on that one...

    Oooh peeps posting here tonight!!

CAFCgirl - shame on your hair - costing you over its own budget!!
That's how I met my hairdresser many years ago - recovering from the home blonde gone ginger scene!!

I love him to bits now & I know he doesn't charge me full price, but have extra costs like civil partnership parties etc!!

SarahN - OHs - what a costly bunch of peeps they are - my sympathies!!!

Mrs MH - glad you are back with us!

My own spending confession follows shortly when I have filled a glass with something red, tasty but CHEAP!!

    Well,
Nanny pippo has had a drink again!!

Had an unannounced inspection/ofsted thing at work today:eek: Now pretty sure we have made the required standards but what a h@ll of a day it has been!!
So when I eventually got home DH is in pub 'networking' I went to meet him for a drink, but ended up using up my whole tenner:mad:
Even more disgruntled now thinking of all the cheap booze we have in the cupboard, but it was all my own fault - all I can say is thank goodness for this challenge so I only had my £10 in my purse or it could have been so much worse the mood I was in!!
The other side of it is if I hadn't been late due to inspector I would have been home first & managed to forget my purse:rotfl:

Anyway.. it only happens twice a year& now it is over with for about 6 months:T

On the plus side have had problems with garage door & thought we needed to make/buy a new one but DH rang another local company & it is fixed for £65 compared with the £300 plus we were looking at to replace:T

Ah we live and we learn Pippo hun....

My excuse for my hair is that I haven't spent its budget since the first time it had a budget....... so technically I've saved in previous weeks.....

Oh who am I kidding?! I spent money and I shouldnt have! LOL

Important thing is Pippo, did you enjoy every drink you had? in which case its worth it.......... unless of course by tomorrow morning you've got a mouth like gandhi's flip flop!

Hi Cafcgirl - yes I enjoyed, and I would have enjoyed quite a few more if truth were told!!

Like you said - spent money & I shouldn't have, but I guess that's why we have an unnecessary budget!!

i know I'm old & times are changing but in relation to hair costs it must be so much cheaper being a man!!

DH goes to the'Green Hut' (that is their trading name!) and spends £5 including tip every 6 weeks - he may be of the old(er) school but...
I usually have to lie about how much I spend & I'm not talking highstreet - named salon prices!!
  • I'm back for another week - doing much much better than my last week and so far 0p spent this week :j

Hoping to do well this week, feeling positive and no unnecessary needs to tend to :rotfl:

I'm gonna have to get it tattoed on my body or something!!!

  • Morning all...

After my recent absence, :o , I'm back and as fired up as ever... My sig was updated last night, and this morning I only had a one pound coin... so I will owe my tin a quid extra to whatever I don't spend today... Means I can't spend more than £1 anyway... and I didn't have time to make lunch... Good job I know a place that sells apples for 20p... two for breakfast, two for lunch... 20p for the tin!! Well, £1.20 for the tin... Or I can just starve all day and give it £2... It's got to be getting close to being worth counting now... :j

Good luck to you all in your NSD efforts...
Total Debt at LBM 30/05/2007: £28,720... I... Am... Calm...

Resolutions: 1, no food from 'Convenience' places during the day. 2, No Phone bill over £35 limit... EVER. 3, Fess up to Dad (Achieved). 4, No More Digressing! 5, Put expenses in regularly. (Achieved). 6, From now, I only pay cash. (Achieved). 7, Claim back my bank charges!
Unnecessary Challenge Week 2: £2.11/£10.00... kinda
"Proud to be dealing with my debt!"... And going insane while I'm at it, clearly!
