Thought we could start a new thread to update our information on Charities who help with BR fees to see who does help now and how long the whole process takes, this is our normal post below, if anyone has any more information we can add it to this post

There are a number of charities that may help with bankruptcy costs and fees depending on eligibility. You will usually need the assistance of a recognised Debt charity in completing applications and be patient can take a while to process too.

EDF are one of many charitable trusts run by Charis Grants.

The Retail Trust have (in the past) given out grants also but haven't used them recently so can't confirm 100%.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Have made the thread a sticky so it doesn't disappear also.
FWIW, I've never known Payplan to give out grants for BR fees. In my experience they've told people to go to CAB etc for help with BR and grants...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

UNISON's welfare charity helped me with the court fee. Took a few weeks and a lot of checking of my financial circumstances which is normal. You need to be a member of Unison. Your local branch office may have a welfare officer to support your application or you can apply direct to remain anonymous.0

The Shipwrecked Mariners Society have never let me down for a bankruptcy fee for an eligible applicant. They aim to help the seafaring and former seafaring community and their dependents - no you don't have to of ever been shipwrecked!
