When doing sales and hypnosis training I teach people to look deeper in to things and look for things that dont stack up. Someone asking for advice on how to answer a question to make a claim, when all they have to do is tell the truth would be seen as possibly dodgy. As MM said if it had legs the truth would do.
However the FOS would not really expect someone to have perfect memory from 1995 so if theres no hard evidence to back it up their memory could easily be floored. In fact that would apply to 99.9999% of all people. There is another thing known as false memory syndrome which means that from the FOS point of view it is difficult to take the claimants view without hard evidence.Who I am is not important.
