Can I say this:
I was told that because this is a part managed & part profit based endowment that this will not fall into shortfalls like other endowments. Or what is the best way to put it.
Will this be taken seriously?

You can say what you like. However, you have to be careful. If you say a number of things that can be proven against you then in grey areas where a balance of probability decision needs to be made, if you have been proven to be wrong or have told lies, then it will work against you.
Tell the truth, dont over explain and dig yourself into holes and dont make things up.I was told that because this is a part managed & part profit based endowment that this will not fall into shortfalls like other endowments.
Unless you took your endowment out after 2000, it is highly unlikely that would have been said. Before then, there were no concerns about endowments missing target so there would be no reason to say that (it's not a true statement anyway but it doesnt make any sense for an adviser to say that).
A statement like that could do you more damage than good if the case is not black and white.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
This was done in 1995, he did say some thing like that, I just can't remember exactly how he put.0

so how do you know what was said. If the adviser has kept his documentation you could end up ;ooking like a prat. Sounds like a false claim if you have to ask others what to say. As Dunston says tell the truthWho I am is not important. What I do is.0

Ignore everthong posted by absolute bounder he knows nothing about financial services products, services, sales practices or the FSA guidance on complaint handling. You can download a template letter from Which and then use this to express your own feelings and what you believe you were told and remember.

There were concerns about endowments in 1994 (CU banned their salesforce from recommending them) and such comments were common with direct salesforces long before 20000 -
I am just wondering where you got that from. 1994 was the year I believe that the salesforce of CU was sold to Abbey life and CUFS ceased trading. At the time the CU endowment had about the highest reversionary bonuses of the lot and as far as I know had no fears of not paying off endowments at that time.defender_of_the_weak wrote: »BTT

I worked for CU at the time. The action took place in the last months of CUFS existence. They still accepted busines from brokers, as they took responsibility for the sale, but decided that they did not want to continue taking the resposibility on the company. What happened with the tied agents such as the Leeds I dont know as I had no direct involvement with them0

How do you know I know nothing? I was actually trained by Allied Dunbar at one time. The training was regarded by the boys at CU as very good in fact many guys at CU were Allied Dunbar trained. I may have other training even I could have even been trained as a supervisor by Standard life. I could have above FPC qualifications. However Hypnosis and sales training is more fun and more lucrative if done right. However I teach my guys to say the truth as the poster shouldWho I am is not important. What I do is.0 -
Its true, if a complaint has legs them a poster should be asking how to say something not what to sayI am a Mortgage Adviser

So why do your postings belie evidence of such training or knowledge.
Don't bother responding, this thread has been completely highjacked by your mad rantings and failure to actually address many of the questions and points raised.
As for your personal attacks on people you clearly no nothing about these are nothing more than discourtesy
MM, I thought thats what the recent poster was asking0 -

I'm not sure what the poster is asking, its worded very ambigously but it would be quite easy to interpret it as "what do I say to win this complaint" as opposed to "how do I word it" I suppose only the OP really knowsI am a Mortgage Adviser
