Yes I have a lifeline system.

As well as the pendant and pull cords, it also activates with the smoke alarms, CO2 alarm and more importantly for me the fall detector.

I fell in the house one evening recently and knocked myself unconscious. Due to the fall detector activating the lifeline, help was with me in minutes. Without it I would have been lying on the floor probably until the carers came in the following morning.

It is worth its weight in gold, especially if you live alone.

  • I have lifeline pendant and falls detector and they have both proven very helpful when I've fallen or had difficulties breathing.

The lifeline offers a safety net and reassurance plus when I need help I can rely on the lifeline people to get me help quickly. I have always found the service polite and efficient and have no complaints.

Even if you only need to use the lifeline once it is worth it .... it's a small price to pay for potentially saving your life.

It is possible to get the cost of lifeline covered by Social Services if either Social Services or an OT has identified the need for a lifeline.
