Permission to let Woolwich residential mortage

Does anyone have recent experience of requesting permission to let with the Woolwich. I know some years ago you had to pay £100 and would only be given permission to let if you were definately returning to the property after two years. I understand they now only charge a £25 fee and wondered if they have also broadened the criteria?

Its not just a standard "give me permission or not". They take each case on its inidividual merits - how long have you had the mortgage, how good are you at maintaining the payments, the loan to value of the property etc.
Also, you may get permission, but they may up the payments, charge a set-up fee (annually in some cases), dictate who you let to, for how long and how much rent you can charge.
Phone and ask is the only way you will know!0 -
